Feng Shui House – 3 Tips to Understanding Feng Shui Energies
If you are studying good Feng Shui in order to apply it to your living space, “chi” will be a term you see frequently. Chi is the word that represents universal energy. What this means is that the Chinese of long ago thought that everything – trees, land, and even the buildings – has a particular energy.
There are two sides to Feng Shui Chi, like yin and yang, meaning that both bad and good Chi exist. Chi also exists in various shapes based on the five elements found in nature – wood, water, metal, fire, and water. To go on further, Chi can be broken down even beyond the five elements to the Feg Shui colors that correspond with those elements.
Feng Shui House has several goals but the top one involves channeling or guiding the energy in the space where you work or live. Good chi is important in your work and living space because it feeds your spirit and maintains a positive energy flow. The positive Chi that enlivens your environment is referred to as Sheng Chi. Where you have positive, you also have negative. Si Chi is the name for negative energy and Sha Chi which literally translates to low and depressing and sharp and attacking.
Sheng Chi in detail
The word Sheng actually refers to energy with a rising movement. Therefore, Sheng Chi is a vibrant energy that is uplifting. This positive energy or life force is very important to your health and well being.
There are many forms of Sheng Chi, most coming from clean indoor environments or nature itself. If you remember, Chi is that energy contained in everything. Well nothing has more powerful energy than thriving nature, such as the beach or a grove of trees.
Si Chi and Sha Chi = Bad Chi
When you have good, you have bad. Si Chi is a depressing, festering type of energy. . If you were in this environment for too long, you would start becoming ill.
Sha Chi is more about the architecture or the decor on the inside or outside of your home that has a violent nature. Outside structures that have corners or sharp points that are pointing into the home are Sha Chi.
The whole purpose of understanding the good and bad Chi is so you can make use of them in Feng Shui home to combat the negative, destructive energy and turn the bad energy into positive energy that is cleansing and well balanced.
