Oil Painting Green

Art A Reflection Of Animal’s Life Force

This female graphic artist has little faces looking at her while she works in her home office. She spends most of her time at her home handling form designs, creating print ads or coupons work that can be tedious and colorless. Observing her through a screened door are four felines and four canines. You will find that further information on pet portrait art is on that site.

Because of those faces, this 34 year old’s world suddenly opened up to new career. While she was on her way to visit her parents in Texas, she decided to paint pictures of her animals. She tries to find colors that suit the personalities of the animals and then uses them for their portraits.

When she paints, her purpose is to capture the animals’ essence. It’s essential that I understand the personality of the animal so I can recreate it on canvas. The pioneer painting was that of a dog which she and her husband found while in Mississippi. This dog, whose color was red, was always with the couple.

Because her dog was jealous, she decided to pain him green. She’s not the first person to use unusual colors for animal portraits. A red eyed blue dog was the painting that one cajun artist made in 1984 in commemoration of his dog who died in 1980. In her paintings, it would be unusual for one not to notice the blue dog. People see the blue dog paintings as a touch of humor on the part of the author, but the author actually sees it as something that bothers his inner being. He made the paintings in such a way that, even if they looked comical, they had a spiritual message in them. The dog looks at us with the same questions that have been plaguing mankind for eternity.

She makes it a point to capture animal’s very character in her artwork. Bright colors and odd patterns are what she picks out for her portraits. All her animals are rescued, adopted from a shelter or found on the street. She adopted a dog, the newest, when she found out that it kept leaving a neighbor’s house and would wander off into the houses of others.

She promoted her pet portraits by going to local veterinarian offices and leaving fliers there. Clients are requested to provide photos and descriptions of their animals’ personalities, she says. She said she’d pick the colors once she understands the animal. The portraits that she makes allow customers to find something for themselves, the owner said.

Her portrait was made using bright yellow to show the energy in her personality. If people know the subjects in portraits, they will draw their attention to those portraits, said an art gallery owner. It’s one thing to look at a portrait, even a pet portrait and appreciate it for its artistic quality.
