Paint to use on Miniatures?
Is Acrylic paint from the dollar store okay to use for painting D&D minis? It seems like it keeps rubbing off..
Is there a special kind of paint to use for them? I tried oil, but I’m still waiting for it to dry.

If you go to your FLGS (Friendly Local Game Shop) they will most likely have a wall devoted to miniature paints and the staff there can help you work out a paint system that works for you.
I start out with giving the models a layer of games workshop spray primer (white or black, depending if i want the colors vibrant or dull, respectively). I then paint the model to my liking using Valejo paints. When i’m done painting and the paint is dry, i throw on a layer of Testors Glosscote varnish and when that is dry, a layer of Dullcote varnish.
